Wellington Town Council planning meeting July 2008

The July PLANNING meeting of Wellington Town Council will be held in the United Reformed Church Hall in Fore Street, Wellington, on MONDAY 7 JULY 2008 at 6pm. Mr Matthew Bale, Taunton Deane Borough Council’s Planning Officer, will be in attendance.

2. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
To receive declarations of personal or prejudicial interests, in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

3. APPLICATIONS TO BE DETERMINED BY TOWN COUNCIL:

(a) Erection of single storey extension to north elevation at 31 Queens Road, Wellington (43/2008/041). There is one letter of objection from neighbour D Parish with concerns about loss of light, the height of the extension, and suggestions for amending the plans. There is also a planning officer’s report recommending approval (both enclosed).

(b) Erection of two and single storey extension to the front of 78 Sylvan Road, Wellington (43/2008/066). There are no letters of objection but the planning officer is recommending refusal on the grounds that it is out of character, detrimental to the street scene, and is overdevelopment (enclosed).

4. TO CONSIDER WHAT COMMENTS TO MAKE ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WHICH WILL BE DETERMINED BY TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL:

(a) Change of use from residential dwelling to osteopathic/complementary health practice at 13 Mantle Street, Wellington (43/2008/064). Letter from applicant (enclosed). Planning officer’s initial comments: Environmental Health officer’s views sought. Assess any impact on residential amenity and highway implications. (This application was deferred from the last planning meeting pending the Environmental Health officer’s report).
(b) Demolition and reinstatement like for like of the south western and north eastern walls to Block E, Tonedale Business park, Tonedale Mill, Milverton Road, Wellington (43/2008/072LB). (This application was deferred from the last planning meeting)

Please note the planning application for 14-18 North Street, Mama Stone’s Recording Studio (43/2008/049) has been deferred again because the Environmental Health officer’s report is still awaited.

PLEASE NOTE: COPIES OF ALL PLANNING APPLICATIONS TO BE DETERMINED AND CONSIDERED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL WILL BE ON DISPLAY IN THE UNITED REFORMED CHURCH HALL FROM 5.50PM ONWARDS ON MONDAY 7 JULY 2008
