Wellington Town Council planning agenda April 2008

The APRIL PLANNING meeting of Wellington Town Council will be held in the United Reformed Church Hall in Fore Street, Wellington, on MONDAY, 7TH APRIL 2008 at 6pm. Mr John Hamer, Taunton Deane Borough Council’s planning officer, will be in attendance.

1. APOLOGIES

1B. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
To receive declarations of personal or prejudicial interests, in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

2. APPLICATIONS TO BE DETERMINED BY TOWN COUNCIL:
(a) Erection of first floor extension at 8 Martins Close, Wellington (43/2008/024: Planning officer recommends approval of amended application, report enclosed. Letter of objection from neighbours Mr B. Gill and Mr M. Sanders on grounds of overlooking and loss of privacy, letter enclosed)

3. TO CONSIDER WHAT COMMENTS TO MAKE ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WHICH WILL BE DETERMINED BY TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL:
(a) Siting of covered seated accommodation for 100 spectators, additional standing accommodation, provision of pitch perimeter barrier on three sides, provision of portable trainers’ boxes, upgraded power supply for floodlights with improved floodlighting, improved access for disabled spectators with provision of refreshment facilities, Wellington Playing Field, North Street, Wellington (43/2008/027: Planning officer’s initial comments: Assess impact on visual and residential amenity and road safety. Taunton DBC neighbour comments form from H H McFaul raising concerns enclosed.)
(b) Erection of one condenser at rear of building at 63 High Street, Wellington (43/2008/029: Planning officer’s initial comments: Assess impact on the character of the building and on visual and residential amenity. Design and access statement by applicants is enclosed)
(c) Display of externally illuminated fascia sign and externally illuminated projecting sign, 63 High Street, Wellington (43/2008/028A: Planning officer’s initial comments: Assess impact on character and appearance of the building and conservation area)
(d) Erection of a bungalow on land to the south of Furzelands, 104 Mantle Street, Wellington (43/2008/039: Planning officer’s initial assessment: Will need to assess impact on character of the area. Letter and design and access statement by applicants are enclosed)


PLEASE NOTE: COPIES OF ALL PLANNING APPLICATIONS TO BE DETERMINED AND CONSIDERED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL WILL BE ON DISPLAY IN THE UNITED REFORMED CHURCH HALL FROM 5.50PM ONWARDS ON MONDAY 7TH APRIL 2008
