One letter of representation received from the adjoining owner, Mrs Pam Corner of 20 Howard Road, expressing concern (enclosed). This was deferred from the last meeting because the planning officer’s report had not been received which is now enclosed.

(b) Erection of extension and raising of roof to form loft conversion, 3 Oldway Park, Wellington (43/2008/055). We have had five letters of objection on the grounds of overdevelopment, overlooking, out-of-character, concerns over possible damage to trees with TPO’s. DEFERED DUE TO AWAITING LANDSCAPE TECHNICIAN’S REPORT

3. TO CONSIDER WHAT COMMENTS TO MAKE ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WHICH WILL BE DETERMINED BY TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL:

(a) Change of use of part of first floor living accommodation to recording studio 14 – 18 North Street, Wellington (Mama Stone’s) (43/2008/049): Planning Officer’s initial comments: Assess impact on residential amenity. This item was deferred from the last meeting pending the environmental health officer’s report.

(b) Erection of building to provide for ground floor retail units with 7 residential units on the first, second and third floor together with associated car parking 36 High Street, Wellington (43/2008/056). Planning Officer’s initial comments: Will need to assess impact on character of Conservation Area. This item was deferred from the last meeting pending the conservation officer’s report.

(c) Construction of five flats with pedestrian access only at 12 High Street, Wellington (43/2008/061).

(d) Reduction in height of existing fence by 1 foot 32 Seymour Street, Wellington (43/2008/059). Planning Officer’s initial comments: Will need to assess impact on visual amenity.

(e) Change of use from residential dwelling to osteopathic/complementary health practice at 13 Mantle Street, Wellington (43/2008/064). Planning officer’s initial comments: Environmental Health officer’s views sought. Assess any impact on residential amenity and highway implications.

Wellington Town Council meeting May 2008

The MAY meeting of Wellington Town Council will be held in the main hall of the United Reformed Church in Fore Street, Wellington, on Monday 12th MAY 2008 immediately following the Annual Parish meeting, which starts at 7p.m. and the Annual Meeting of Council.
The Council’s May Planning meeting will also be held on Monday 12th May 2008 in the URC Church Hall at 6pm.

4. GRANT APPLICATION FROM WELLINGTON TOWN AFC FOR £7,500 TO UPGRADE GROUND AND PLAYING FACILITIES
This follows planning application 43/2008/027 relating to ground and facilities improvements which was considered and recommended for approval at the last meeting. These improvements are a requirement following the Club’s promotion.

5. GRANT APPLICATION FROM WELLINGTON RADIOWATCH
