Wellington Town Council meeting November 2007

The NOVEMBER meeting of Wellington Town Council will be held in the main hall of the United Reformed Church in Fore Street, Wellington, on Monday, 5th November 2007 at 7.30pm. Please note the later than usual start for this council meeting.
The council’s planning meeting will also be held on Monday, 5th November 2007 in the URC Church Hall at 5pm for which a separate agenda and papers are enclosed.
The November Finance Committee meeting will be held in the URC Church Hall on Monday, 5th November 2007 at 4.15pm. Papers and agenda will be issued at the meeting.

(a) Minute 13985 Erection of Christmas Lights: Quote from Taunton DLO for the erection and subsequent removal of the town council’s Christmas decorations for High Street, South Street, North Street, Fore Street, Mantle Street and Rockwell Green at a cost of £6,959. The cost in 2006 was £5,956.13 (enclosed: for decision)
(b) Minute 14412 Application for 1 Greenway Road: A letter from Taunton DLO stating the application for demolition of garage and erection of 2 semi-detached dwellings at 1 Greenway Road, Rockwell Green has been withdrawn.
(c) Minute 14457 Traffic problems in Holyoake Street: A letter from Relyon’s divisional transport manager Richard Murphy stating the company’s trucks do not travel down Holyoake Street (enclosed: for information)
(d) Minute 14465 CCTV cameras: A letter from CCTV manager Barry Donbvand welcoming the council’s and public’s positive response to the new cameras in the town centre (enclosed: for information)

To receive a report from the assistant to the clerk Mrs J Thorne about the partnership meeting held on Tuesday October 2 and information about community interest companies (CIC) in light of the proposed change to the partnership to form a new CIC to be called the Wellington Economic and Community Partnership Limited. To also consider whether to make any recommendations or suggestions for inclusion on the next WEP meeting to be held on Tuesday 2nd October 2007 at 6pm.
