Wellington Town Council planning meeting June 2007
The JUNE PLANNING meeting of Wellington Town Council will be held in the United Reformed Church Hall in Fore Street, Wellington, on MONDAY, 4th JUNE 2007 at 6pm. Mr John Hamer, Taunton Deane Borough Council’s West area planning manager, will be in attendance.

(a) Demolition of garage and car port and erection of two storey extension at 8 Pyles Thorne Close, Wellington (43/2007/067: The planning officer recommends REFUSAL because it is considered the extension will be out of keeping with existing dwelling and other properties and will have a detrimental effect on the character of the area and detract from the visual amenities of the locality and street scene)
3. TO CONSIDER WHAT COMMENTS TO MAKE ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WHICH WILL BE DETERMINED BY TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL:
(a) Erection of a pair of dwellings to rear of 52 High Street, Wellington. (43/2006/165) as amended by agents letter dated 2nd April 2007 and accompanying plans Nos. 1337/06/3 Iss 3, 1337/07/06 received on 3rd April 2007. This application was deferred at the May planning meeting pending clarification of the views of the conservation officer (see minute 14253: email from conservation officer Benjamin Webb stating he has no objection in principle to the development)
(b) Erection of dwelling on land adjacent to 16 Victoria Street, Wellington (43/2007/041)
(c) Erection of building for storage use together with associated access and landscaping, land adjoining Unit 2, Rylands Farm Industrial Estate, Bagley Road, Wellington (43/2007/071: Planning officer’s initial assessment: Principle established by previous outline permission: likely to be acceptable)
