(a) Residential development to provide 69 dwellings (comprising 45 houses and 24 flats), formation of access and associated works, former ABL and Westford Plastics Premises, Payton Road, Westford, Wellington (43/2006/163: Planning officer’s initial comments: Principle likely to be acceptable. Will need to assess layout and designs and take into account consultation responses. This application was deferred at the January meeting pending a site visit. See minute 14072) DEFERRED
(b) Erection of 8 two bed houses and 3 three bed houses on land off Gay Close, Wellington (43/2007/003)
(c) Erection of a pair of dwellings to rear of 52 High Street, Wellington (43/2006/165: Planning officer’s initial comments; Will assess impact on neighbours on site and await views of conservation officer)

This is in West Buckland parish but town council has been asked for its comments)

(g) Application for an additional 300kw generator module to existing operational developments permitted under 46/99/010 and 46/04/021 at Poole waste transfer station, Poole landfill, Poole, Wellington (46/07/001: Originally granted approval for 2 generators but only installed 1. New legislation means applicants have to apply again: smaller generator this time: 600kw approved previously. This is in West Buckland parish but town council has been asked for its comments, which will be to the county council who will decide the application)

4. TO GIVE CONSIDERATION TO UNITARY AUTHORITY PROPOSAL BY SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL (See minute 14080: Councillors have received a copy of the county’s business case for a unitary authority. The county decided on 22nd January ask the Government to create a unitary authority for Somerset. The reactions of the Secretary of State are due by the end of March. If any bid is taken forward, then there will be full consultation with district, town and parish councils between April and June. In view of this it is suggested that the town council should defer consideration until the 12 week consultation period: for decision)
