(a) Minute 14598 Removal of Westford rail crossing whistle boards: To report that a site meeting will be held on Friday, 14th March at 11am with Mr Rob Aston, of Network Rail (for information)
(b) Minute 14599 Street cleaning: To report that mechanical pavement sweeper (green machine) visited Wellington on 20th February and will be coming to the town on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month to cover town centre in the early morning and other parts of the town during the rest of the day. (for information)
(c) Minute 14602 Town council website: To receive a verbal report from the assistant to the town clerk, Mrs J. Thorne (for information) and to set up a website working party (for decision)

(b) Wellington and Area Community Justice Panel letter (for decision on inviting representative to a future council meeting)
(c) Letter from Somerset Highways about temporary closure of Wellington relief road for 6 nights from 9th March (for information)
(d) Letter from Somerset County Council re community engagement workshop on 18th March (for decision on councillor to attend)
(e) Letter from Somerset County Council re local access forum annual newsletter (for decision on whether to nominate possible forum members. The newsletter is available for members to read)

8. WELLINGTON ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP
To receive a report from the assistant to the clerk, Mrs J. Thorne on the Wellington Economic Partnership meeting held on 18th February 2008 and the revised constitution ( for decision). To consider whether to make any recommendations or suggestions for the agenda for the next WEP meeting on 31st March 2008.

The MARCH PLANNING meeting of Wellington Town Council will be held in the United Reformed Church Hall in Fore Street, Wellington, on MONDAY, 3RD MARCH 2008 at 6pm. Mr John Hamer, Taunton Deane Borough Council’s planning officer, will be in attendance.

1B. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
To receive declarations of personal or prejudicial interests, in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

2. APPLICATIONS TO BE DETERMINED BY TOWN COUNCIL:
(a) Construction of dormer window to south elevation at 21 Mitchell Street, Wellington (43/2008/014: Planning officer recommends REFUSAL because of adverse impact on the character of the building and on visual amenity of both the dormer window and roof extension: report enclosed. There are no objections from neighbours)

3. TO CONSIDER WHAT COMMENTS TO MAKE ON THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WHICH WILL BE DETERMINED BY TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL:
(a) Demolition of building, erection of retail A1 food store comprising about 2,580sq.m. gross internal floor area with associated parking, servicing and landscaping served by an improved access off Bulford and a new pedestrian access via Fore Street, Wellington Medical Centre and South Street car park, Wellington (43/2008/013: this is an outline application and a renewal of previously approved applications 43/99/064 and 43/04/131
(b) Erection of public house/restaurant and hotel with ancillary parking, access and landscaping on land at Chelston House Farm, Chelston, Wellington adjacent to the B3187/A38 roundabout (43/2008/012: this is a reserved matters application following outline approval 43/2006/016)
(c) Extended opening hours till 2am on Friday and Saturday nights (non compliance with condition 2 of permission 43/1994/128), Mr Scrumptious, 8 South Street, Wellington (43/2008/017)
(d) Erection of signage at the Co-op Food Store, Longforth Road, Wellington (43/2008/015A: Planning officer’s initial comments: Assess impact on the character of the building and on visual amenity)
